Turbines. Mmm.

Kinja'd!!!

I don’t really care about the snowplow stuff.

Kinja'd!!!

Okay, so it has bubbling.

Kinja'd!!!

The ad’s kinda cryptic. It’s a V8 with auto, and 4x4. I’ve wanted one of these Rams for a while.

Ever since my buddy got an ‘87 D100 with a 318 and Cherry Bombs under the doors. Sadly, he scrapped it after a few months (It was junk. Bitchin’, but junk.).

Kinja'd!!!

The D100 in question. You can see the Cherry Bomb. It had one on the drivers’ side too, obviously. Quit running and the trans had no reverse.

Just love these things. I’d get it undercoated, put Cherry Bombs on it like my buddy’s truck, and remove the plow stuff and daily it in all of its’ 9 M.P.G. glory.

EDIT: That didn’t last long. Which one of you bastards bought my truck?!

I’ve got an ‘86 and love it. They dont get terrible mileage either for what they are. I’ve averaged a little over 15 mpg with the 318 and 3 speed auto.

Pictures of it? I have an unhealthy love of these trucks. Really, just about any pre ‘87 Chevy, pre ‘96 Ford, and pre 1991 Dodge (I dislike the later front end on 91-93s.)is a great truck to me.

surprisingly little rust for one in an area where snowplows are useful.

Thanks! Its cosmetically rough but I love the patina. Runs and drives like a dream though.

That’s why I’m so fired up about it. I know the way cars rust here, especially old pickups.

I’m from Michigan. If that’s rough, I have oceanfront property in Arizona for ya. Lol, that’s definitely clean.

and the engine bay is big enough to take pretty much anything you’d reasonably want to put in it. I don’t think they needed to change much when they first put the Cummins 6BT in there in 1989. Imagine it with a crate Hemi or 440 underhood.

hell, some whack job out there even stuffed in a Detroit Diesel 6V-53T, though the hood couldn’t go back on.

It has very little rust, but there is hardly a straight panel on it and the drivers side bed has an unknown amount of body filler. It’s a work in progress

My friend had a collection of these in high school.

He had a mint ‘87 318 4wd long box. That truck was so cool.

Actually got pulled over in it running the plates off his ‘84 luckily they were both the same colour and police never checked the vin.

Now he drives a ‘86 2wd with a 318 that he bought from my other friends Dad. Who’s Dad bought it new.

The Dodges hold a special place in my heart. My Dad had an 83 with a inline 6 as a plow truck/wood hauler for about ten years. It was a beautiful, oil smelling beast. And it was loud, really loud. It had a manual trans too. My dad left t behind when we moved to Wisconsin, basically gave t to a buddy, on one condition, he kept the ram on the hood. He had planned on putting it on a newer Dodge if he ever got around to owning one. He has a 2015 Ram now, and idk if he still has the Hood ornament.

NP. I love the Ted Nugent plow. This is only three hours away from me. I could make that work ....

Don’t worry, I won’t though :)

No point in undercoating it until the wheel well arches are patched.

I figure if they’re just bubbling I could grind ‘em down, paint it, and undercoat. Also, the plow would be the first thing to go. No interest in that stuff.

No, it’s bubbling because there is rust under there. The rust has to be cut out and patched. If you don’t fix it right. There’s no point in doing anything at all.

I’d keep the plow, that’s a money maker right there, but you can always sell it.
